All YEA members (ASHRAE members age 35 years and younger) are invited to a special mixer with Society President Lynn Bellenger during the cocktail hour of our dinner meeting on January 13th. This is your opportunity to meet Lynn, ask her questions about ASHRAE, or let her know how ASHRAE can better serve young professionals in the HVAC&R industry.
After the YEA mixer, stick around for our chapter dinner meeting… which happens to be YEA & Student Night! There is even a discount for those who RSVP. See the events calendar or dinner meeting notice for full details.
Please join us at 5pm for cocktails, then 5:30pm for dinner.
The post-dinner program will include a presentation from ASHRAE Distinguished Lecturer Hank Jackson, P.E. as well as an update on Research Promotion activities.

ASHRAE Society President Lynn G. Bellenger, P.E. will be visiting the Northern Alberta Chapter on Thursday, January 13th. Please mark your calendars as we will be hosting a special event that day in honour of her visit. Further details will be released soon…
Note that our January chapter dinner meeting has been rescheduled to accommodate Lynn’s visit, so there will NOT be a dinner meeting on Wednesday, January 19th.
Another classic Social Event is being brought back.
In an effort to inject more of the social aspect back into ASHRAE life it has been decidedthat a winter social activity is needed to compliment the annual golf tournament. In February 2010 the Social Committee will be hosting the Northern Alberta Playdown. PLEASE start forming your teams now. If you don’t have a team but would like to participate let us know so we can see if there will be space to form additional teams. This winner from this prestigious event will have the opportunity to head to Saskatoon for the John Ross Bonspiel on February 26, 2010.
The John Ross Bonspiel is an annual event that is meant to draw together the Prairie Chapters for some camaraderie to get through our cold winters. Last year it was cancelled due to a low attendance. We would like to make sure this doesn’thappen again so we have been in contact with our Saskatoon Chapter pledging our support and pushing so that we can assist in making the John Ross event a success.
We will keep everyone posted as the planning for this event progresses.
Hey guys, I love the new look and feel! Fantastic job! This is sure to be of great use by all in our industry. Hats off to both of you!
The Prez,
William Regan
Kent, Kent – are you stuck in ‘the cloud’ somewhere?
Happy to see this cutting edge technology for the chapter! I hope it provides a reason to draw participation from our younger members and potential members!
