Please join us for our annual Student’s Night Dinner Meeting - registration for Students is FREE!
On this night, we will be awarding the 2019-2020 Student Scholarships, and are requesting applications from any interested students.
Please forward your applications to Cody Byar (cody@kel-hvac.com) and Jonathan Garvey (jonathan.garvey@smithandersen.com).
We also continue requesting older copies of ASHRAE Handbooks / Literature that are collecting dust in everyone’s basement. Please bring to the meeting, and Robert Prybysh will ensure they are provided to students in need.
If you’re interested in “Sponsoring a Student” for this evening’s meal, there will be an option to do so within the online registration process ($20), which will help to offset the chapter’s costs of student meals.
Following dinner, there will also be a presentation by Chris Patterson from Schneider Electric on Digital Trends and IoT (Internet of Things) in Real Estate. The focus will be real estate but most of the topics can be used for other building types.
Chris has been involved in several different markets in Western Canada and has been involved in Building Automation for over 20 years. Holding several different positions in the industry, Chris has been able to use the different facets of the business to develop a total life cycle focus when approaching buildings. With the knowledge that an energy efficient connected building means that there needs to be buy in from Boiler Room to Board Room, Chris tries to speak to all levels of an organization to solidify the benefits of a connected building. Chris’s activities have had him focused in both the Healthcare and Higher Education in recent years.
As a Building Development Consultant for Schneider Electric, Chris’s responsibility is to educate and develop both consultants and users on the benefits of connected buildings and how that will help take their buildings into the future. Chris is a CEM and has his LEED GA designation.
