Topic Summary:
Mr. Ahmed will discuss the main components of VRF along with qualifying a project, design considerations and methodologies. As VRF become ever increasingly popular, the discussion on ROI becomes an interesting topic. In this session, an ROI comparison will be presented. As building evolve and become more dynamic, BMS systems are integral part of bringing all HVAC components together in a single platform. Mr. Ahmed will discuss various options available to tie VRF to BMS system.


Speaker Bio:
Sami Ahmed graduated from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, majoring in Engineering Physics. He started with York International as a Project Engineer and moved to Account Executive where he was primarily responsible for selling Applied Equipment, such as Chillers, Air Handlers, Rooftop units and Water Source Heat Pumps. During this time, he was exposed to VRF systems and decided to work for Daikin in NYC as a Senior Account Executive where he was exposed to numerous VRF applications. Having been successful in this technology, he decided to join back Johnson Controls as a Regional Sales Manager for VRF. He is trained Engineer, Certified Energy Manager, Lead Six Sigma Green Belt and a long standing member of AEE.
